PLEASE HELP OUT AT THIS YEAR'S MOONWALK!!!

Help a very worthy charity and promote scouting at the same time!

Hi all

We're looking to get as many volunteers as possible to help with marshalling at the Edinburgh Moonwalk this year.  A group of us did it last year and it was a good laugh and gave scouts some good press.  For those of you that dont know what this is, it's a night-time marathon in edinburgh where participants (mainly women) walk in bras to raise funds for brest cancer charities.  As marshalls we will be helping keep walkers safe and motivated, you'll get a free t-shirt, hat and goodie bag all you need to do is bring yourself, some waterproofs, a neckie, warm clothes and stuff to keep you going over night.

The aim is to do as many of the shifts as we can manage because they're always short of volunteers.  All you need to do is fill in the form at http://www.walkthewalk.org/GetTalking/Volunteering/TheMoonWalkEdinburgh/VolunteerRegistration asap.  If you put in the friends section SCOUT NETWORK we will be put in groups together so we can co-ordinate transport and catching up.  Last year we were there from 8pm until 12pm the next day - very tiring but well worth it because it makes you feel good!

If there is anyone needing somewhere to sleep on the Sunday before you head home please let us know in advance so we can sort either a bed/floor in a house or a hall to kip in.  After shift 3 we will go for breakfast in a pub in town or back to a local hall depending on folks preferences.
