Scottish and UK Headquarters have decided to run a joint workshop for Sectional ADC’s, DESC’s, DSNL’s and ARC’s (Explorer Scouts and Scout Network) on 14 - 15 February 2009.

It will be 10 months since the introduction of the new Regional structure in Scotland when the workshop takes place and we think it is the right time to look at various aspects of Programme Support for all five Sections. Five parallel programmes (one for each Section) will run during the weekend, but there will be an opportunity for several cross Sectional sessions covering topics of interest to more than one or indeed all Sections.

This will be the first venture of this sort run jointly by SHQ and UKHQ. The residential weekend will be fully funded by SHQ and UKHQ. A small contribution to the costs of the weekend of £15.00 per person is requested to secure a place. Places are limited so early booking is recommended. Accommodation is in single rooms and all meals are included in the package for the weekend. Accommodation is available on the Friday night if required and should you require this option then there would be an extra cost of £20.00 per person.

The programme for the weekend will include Sectional updates from both SHQ and UKHQ and an opportunity to help develop support for Programme delivery in your Districts. The Saturday evening will be set aside for social interaction and networking in the pleasant atmosphere of the bar at Tulliallan.

Each District is encouraged to send a team of five (one person for each Section) to the weekend. In the absence of an ADC/DESC/DSNL, feel free to send a representative of your Section in the District.

Please complete the registration form and return it to SHQ with a cheque made payable to The Scout Association to secure a place. In addition, please let us know on the registration form if there are any specific topics that you would like addressed during the weekend.
